Museum Receives Artifact Belonging to Former Auburn Automobile Company Export Manager, Robert Wiley

AUBURN – The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum has acquired a travel clock that once belonged to Robert Wiley, former export manager of Auburn Automobile Company. Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum Achieves Re-accreditation from the American Association of Museums

The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum has again achieved the highest recognition for a museum, accreditation by the American Association of Museums (AAM). Initially accredited in 1997, the museum must undergo re-accreditation at least every ten years to maintain accredited status. <more>


Museum Adds Rare Duesenberg Model Y Prototype and Early Model A to Exhibit

The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum recently acquired two unusual Duesenbergs for exhibit. The first is a 1922 Duesenberg Model A Fleetwood Coupe owned by Shawn and Tammy Miller of Indianapolis, Indiana.  The Duesenberg Model A was the first production passenger car to bear the name Duesenberg. <more>


Museum Participates in Exhibit Focusing on Indiana Auto Makers in South Bend

The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum will play a part in the development of a new exhibit focusing on Indiana’s automotive manufacturing history. The Studebaker National Museum in South Bend, Indiana is opening a new exhibit entitled “Hoosier Past Perfect: Indiana’s Auto Makers.”  This exhibit will include examples of Hoosier-made “Full Classics” from the 1920s and 1930s, adorned with an Art Deco motif and complemented by period fashions from the Northern Indiana Center for History costume collection.   <more>
